Skye's giveaway

Skye over at Creative Chaos is giving away a geode

or 2 sets of earrings
both pictured here:  Skye's giveaway.  Stop by her blog and enter.  You have multiple chances to win.

I am undecided to what I would like if I were to win.  I always like earrings but a chance to do something with a geode is tempting also.

Yesterday was bowling and I made my 400 series by 2 pins.  I was going great the first game (144), lost the momentum the second game (111), and just barely made a comeback on the third game (147).

Valentine's Day necklace

My Beading Happily Ever After Valentine's challenge necklace is on their blog.  Here is a link:  http://beadhappilyeverafter.com/blog/  I am about half way done the page.

Really pleased with it as it is out of comfort zone.

What do you think?   Usually I am just a stinger but the hearts have some black in them and I thought of the black chain that I had.  Made matching earring from the small red and black hearts.

Necklace Giveaway

I have been reading this neat blog (http://jeanawells.blogspot.com/) by jewelry maker Jean A Wells.  She has kindly donated one of her necklaces to Love My Art Jewelry for a giveaway for Valentine's Day.

Many Beading Challenges

Sorry I have not posted anything this week.  It was one of those hectic weeks.

Completed two different necklace and earring sets for two different Valentine's Day challenges.  Will post those on Tuesday when they will appear on the sponsor's websites.  Really excited about the designs as they both are a little out of my comfort zone.

I was also able to get in on Michelle Mach's Suddenly Spring Challenge.  Love the bracelet and it fits!!!  My wrist is so small that most bracelets fall right off.  Will have to take a picture and post it.  The challenge for this is to make it represent spring.  I can take it apart or add to it.  Not sure what I am going to do.  Be sure watch for the blog hop on March 13.

Just saw a challenge for 7000 Bracelets of Hope.  Missed this last year and certainly want to try it this year.  Will be signing up and letting everyone know when the blog hop is.

Here is a picture of my January Challenge entry at Operation Tackle That Bead Stash.  We were to create something beaded using just white and black beads.  Findings did not count as a color.  If you used/made a square of any type you earned bonus points.

Here is a link to all the entries and there were over 37 of them: http://tacklethatbeadstash.blogspot.com/2012/01/january-challenge-and-winner-is.html  I just love the first entry from Janice, the white rose set.  About half way down the page are two sets made by my friend Ev.  At times our styles are very similar and other times she is more adventurous then me.  My entry is second from the end.  (I just copied the picture that I sent them.)  Let me know what you think.

January Challenge

This is going to be another post without pictures.  I wasn't able to download the picture I wanted even after three tries of several hours each.  I guess I am going to have to try blogging from my email via the cellphone as soon as I figure that out.  I will have more time later in the week.

I managed to finish my January challenge for Operation Tackle That Bead Stash.  The challenge was to only use white and black beads only.  Findings did not count for color.  If you used/made squares in your piece you got an extra chance at the drawing for free beads.  I'll put a link to my necklace when it is pictured on the blog.

Free Tutorial Friday

Another blog that I read suggested looking at the following tutorial if you are interested in adding fabric to your jewelry.  Not sure that I am going to be adding any fabric to my jewelry but found the tutorial interesting and now have some ideas on how to use fabric.  Loved her necklaces.
