Pearls (fresh-water, I think), gold twisted beads, gold glass pearls, gold cathedral beads.
Gold and clear cultured sea glass, brass starfish and toggle clasp.
Unfortunately, I did a good/bad thing. In order to not lose the beads, I put them in a safe place as I received them back in December and was not ready to work on the projects. The blog hop kinda of slipped my mind and other challenges came to the front. When it was getting close to time for the reveal, I was scrambling to find my "safely put away" beads. I searched for two weeks and finally found them last week.
I was able to get three pieces partially constructed and hope to finish them tomorrow and post the finished pieces on Monday evening, so be sure to come back and see the finished pieces.
I used one size of the glass pearls and the twisted beads in the outer strand and another size of glass pearls and the cathedral beads for the inner strand.
I used the cultured sea glass to create the necklace below. I added some brass jump rings as spacers.

I used left over cultured sea glass for earrings along with the brass starfish.

You created some very pretty pieces. I really like the movement in the necklace with the gold twisted beads and the simplicity of the second necklace.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely bunch of beads you received! I just love what your created. :)
ReplyDeleteI love these colours, too, Caroline! I'll be sure and drop by again to see the finished product (how many times have I put away beads for "safe-keeping" LOL).
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the work in progress. Will stop by later to see finished designs!
ReplyDeleteNifty pieces, Carolyn! Especially the two strand necklace. I really like how you used the twisty glass beads in the outer strand. Thanks for being in the hop. I'll stop by later to see the finished products!
ReplyDeleteI put things in a safe place and lose them all of the time! Now I have a bin for my challenges so all I have to do is remember to put it in there. I love what you did, and love the beads you had in your kit!
ReplyDeleteOh now I just love the color of your kit and the designs you have laid out. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
ReplyDeleteYour works in progress are looking great. I am going to search my stash for some starfish charms. I've loved them in everyone's creations. You are not alone in your "lost beads" situation. I now have two boxes to cut down on my lost beads. One is labeled "blog hop stuff" and one is labeled "a safe place"!
ReplyDeleteSuper colors, Carolyn! And beautiful necklaces but I especially love the earrings.....so summery.I had a good laugh when I read about you putting your beads away in a "safe place". I can't tell you how many "safe places" I've hunted high and low for over the years.
ReplyDeleteAt least you finally found them. There are things in my life that I've never found!
Carolyn . . . your beautiful pieces were well worth waiting for! I especially LOVE the earrings which I know I would wear all summer long! The colors you had to work with were gorgeous and earthy looking and the choices you made to create two unique necklaces were perfect. Lovely work!!!
ReplyDeleteShame you didn't get to finish but I get where you were going. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Combination!! Gemstones can be used with any combination and in any style.Every day new ideas of gemstones are emerging its trend and making it more popular.
