7000 Bracelets for Hope

Here are pictures of the bracelets that I made to be donated to the Global Genes Project (GGP) which is collecting blue jean/denim inspired bracelets for families living with rare disease.   Here is a link to their information page:  http://www.globalgenes.org/7kbracelets.php

Here are pictures of the memory wire bracelet I made.  I will be adding some gold hearts to the end loops for a bit of a dangle.

I am sending the top bracelet and keeping the smaller
one for myself (as I really made it small) although it would make a nice mother/daughter
set.  I wonder if I can do that?

Here is a list of all the people that are joining in by making bracelets.  Please visit them:

  1. I think the idea of mother/daughter bracelets is a wonderful one! I think I would give it a try!

I like the blue stones here and the brass clasps. I made one with memory wire too, but I'm new to that. I'll have to study yours and see how you worked the clasps in! :-) Looks a bit tricky to me!

  3. I love the bracelets you made. I also like the idea of a mother/daughter set. Memory wire is a wonderful component that is way under utilized, in my opinion. Great job.

  6. Carolyn, I think if you include a note about this being a mother/daughter set, that they will find the right person to give it to. Alternatively, you could keep it for yourself, and then remember this hop, the cause, and the family you supported each time you wear it! Either way, it's awesome you made two bracelets, and they are both beautiful! Thank you so much for joining us on this hop!

  13. Nice work :) I think the gold hearts will be a perfect little touch!

As for the bracelet set... hmm...You could add a note to make sure it's sent to a woman with a daughter who's ill... but it's best to email them and ask :) There's a link on their page where you sign up and it supplies an email address.
